Emoji icons are emoticons made popular by Japanese mobile carriers like Softbank. It is used widely by our friends in Japan throughout their daily lifes - in wireless text messages, emails and web pages.

Emoji literally means "picture" and moji "letter". Emoji icons can be used in SMS, Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendar, Skype, BeeJive, IM+, Fring, AIM, Facebook, Palringo, Loopt, Yahoo! Messenger, Tweetie, Twitterfon or any other application that deals with text in your iPhone or iPod touch.

XEmoji is your reference to all 461 Japanese Emoji icons available on your iPhone or iPod touch. If you are not sure what does # mean, then look it up in XEmoji! Looking it up in XEmoji is easy, we arrange the icons just like how they appear on the emoji keyboard!

Enable the Emoji Keyboard with XEmoji 

1. Start XEMoji app and tap on the About button
2. Wait for about ten seconds before tapping on Done
3. Exit the XEmoji app
4. Go to Settings - General - International - Keyboards
5. Select Japanese and set the Emoji switch to ON.
6. Tap on the globe key next to the space bar on the iPhone/iPod touch keyboard to use the emoji keyboard

NOTE: Unlike other emoji apps, XEmoji is the first and only app that you can keep for convenient emoji reference later!
