Timer with Sections (formerly 'Presentation Assistant') provides you with intuitively visualized timing information.
Available time can be divided into sections.
Visualization Used time is visualized in red. Remaining time is visualized in green. An inner disc represents the used and remaining time for the current section. The section title is displayed in the center. Paused time is visualized in dark red. An outer ring represents the used and remaining time for the whole presentation. The segments of the ring represent the individual sections.
Shrinkable Sections and the Pause Function A section can be defined as shrinkable. Pressing the pause button will try to pause the current section countdown by allocating time from a later (shrinkable) section. If there are no more shrinkable sections with unsed time then pause has no effect.
Alarm at End of Section For each section you can enable an alarm. If set, a small tick sound will be played at the end the section. The sound is played at the system volume. The iPhone will also virate, if configured accordingly.
Persistence If you leave the presentation assistant view or even the application and return to the presentation assistant view it will recover its previous state, including the elapsed time. If you leave the presentation assistant view, the presentation remains in its current state (e.g. running, paused or stopped). However, if you leave the presentaton assistant view of a running presentation using the home button or due to an incoming call, then the presentation switches to the "pause" state and will recover in "pause" state. A presentation will be kept running even if you change its section layout as long as the number of sections stays the same.
