It's like Scrabble and Tetris had a baby! In this game tiles fall from the top of the board and the player tries to form words 4-10 characters long either vertically or horizontally, and as the words clear new words can be formed as the top letters fall to fill in the gaps.

downWORD features two distinct game types:

• TIME ATTACK! A quick 3 minute game where the speed increases every 30 seconds and the objective is to se how many points you can score in a limited time.
• ENDURANCE! No clock, just and an endless amount of tiles. If the board fills up, game over!

With the latest release, downWORD now incorporates 5 different dictionaries allowing users to select casual US or UK word lists, tournament SOWPODS and TWL word lists and now a French International Scrabble tournament word list.

Every game is posted to a web server to give you instant feedback on how you are doing compared to other downWORD players around the world. Ranks are updated constantly, so you'll be challenged to stay on the top leader board.

Coming in future releases will be support for more languages and a new game type, DAILY ATTACK, where players will be able to compete in a daily game where everyone has the same letters in the same order to see who can achieve the highest score.
